The university encourages its sponsored students to actively participate in international scientific conferences and to publish research in global scientific journals, believing in the utmost importance of this for the student's academic level and the productive knowledge outcomes. It also emphasizes the necessity of registering the name of the University of Jeddah on those research papers to reflect the university's image in international forums.

Article 17 of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for university staff specifies the rules related to attending scientific conferences, seminars, and short courses, stating: 'A round-trip ticket is provided once for the student to attend conferences, scientific seminars, or short courses during a single stage of study, according to the following conditions:

- The conference or course must be directly related to the student's specialization or research topic.

- Approval of the Scholarship Committee is required.'
