When a scholarship recipient finishes the stage they are studying and gets accepted to study another stage, they can apply for approval to continue their scholarship to pursue that next stage, like doing a master's after a language program, a PhD after a master's, or a fellowship specialization after a fellowship. This is according to Articles 4 and 7 of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Staff.
Scholarship Continuation Conditions:
The decision to continue the scholarship is issued by the University Council based on:
- Obtaining the academic degree the scholarship was for.
- Receiving acceptance from an educational institution recommended by the Ministry of Education.
- The field the student wants to study should be recommended by the Ministry of Education.
- The field should align with the academic department plan at the University of Jeddah.
- The university should be among the top 300 in the world, except for Australia, which should be in the top 200. This is based on global rankings like QS, Times, Shanghai (ARWU), or U.S. News.
- Endorsement from the Saudi Cultural Attaché in the country of study.
- Recommendation from the department council to approve the continuation of the The mission. The college council's recommendation to approve the extension and continue the mission. The permanent committee for scholarships and training recommends approving the continuation of the mission. Documents required to be attached to the application: the acceptance letter received. A copy of the certificate or a letter indicating that the degree being pursued was obtained. Note: The application to continue the mission for higher studies is submitted after completing the current level of study, provided that the period between obtaining the current degree and starting the higher-level study does not exceed three months.
