Commencement of Financial Allowances

The commencement of financial allowances differs between scholarship recipients pursuing an academic degree and employees sent for training. The details are as follows:

Scholarship Recipient for an Academic Degree

Financial allowances for a scholarship recipient pursuing an academic degree begin after the issuance of the scholarship decision, starting from the date of arrival at the place of study. However, the start date shall not precede the official start of study by more than one month.

This is in accordance with Article 9 of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Staff, which states:

“Financial allowances for the scholarship recipient shall commence from the date of arrival at the place of scholarship, provided that the period between arrival and the start of study does not exceed one month.”

Employee Sent for Training

Financial allowances for an employee sent for training abroad begin one month after arrival at the training location. The employee receives a one-month assignment allowance from their employer upon issuance of the training decision.

This is in accordance with Article 15 of the Training Regulations, which provides:

“The employee sent for training abroad, regardless of their qualification, shall receive an allowance equivalent to one month of assignment for the first thirty days…”

Additionally, Article 12 of the Training Regulations clarifies that the training period abroad begins within seven days prior to the start of the training course or arrival at the training location, and ends within seven days after the completion of the course.
