The scholar's attendance at scientific conferences related to his studies, and participation in them by submitting scientific papers, has a great impact on refining his talents, increasing his knowledge and developing his research capabilities, by meeting with senior scientists and researchers, contacting them and benefiting from their research and experiences.
The university encourages its scholarship students to actively participate in international scientific conferences and publish research in international scientific journals, believing in the utmost importance at the scientific level of the scholarship and the fruitful knowledge return, and stresses the need to register the name of the University of Jeddah on those researches to reflect the image of the university in international forums.
Article XVII of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Employees specifies the provisions related to attending conferences, scientific seminars and short courses, as it stipulates: "The scholarship student shall be paid a one-time round-trip ticket to attend conferences, scientific seminars, or short courses during one academic stage in accordance with the following controls:

The conference or course should have a direct relationship with his/her specialization or research topic. |

The approval of the Scholarship and Training Committee at the university based on the recommendation of the supervisor of the student's study and the endorsement of the cultural attaché for scholarship abroad. |
If the scholarship student wishes to participate in a scientific conference, scientific symposium or short training course, he must submit a request to do so clarifying the title of the conference or course and its relationship to his specialization or the subject of his research and the place of its convening, whether in the country of scholarship or another country, and the date of its convening and the period it takes. And attach the introductory brochures to that, provided that the submission is well before the date of the conference or session of not less than two months so that the competent authorities in the attaché and the university can decide on the subject.

Endorsement of the Saudi cultural attaché in the country of scholarship. |

Recommendation of the Department Council to approve the attendance of the scholarship student conference (a tripartite committee delegated by the Council). |

Recommendation of the College Council to approve the attendance of the scholarship student conference (a tripartite committee delegated by the Council). |
|
Recommendation of the Standing Committee for Scholarship and Training to approve the scholarship student's attendance at the conference. |
Documents to be attached to the application:

An official letter approved by the supervisor of the scholarship study. |
|
Documents showing the title of the conference, the date and duration of the conference, the organizer and the name of the country in which it will be held. |
