20241028333What is meant by the termination of the mission is to cancel it, interrupt the study and start work at the university. This is due to the circumstances that the scholarship student is exposed to during the period of his scholarship that prevent him from continuing his studies or lead to his academic stumbling, such as not obtaining acceptance, or not renewing the visa, or being exposed to a health symptom that prevents him from studying and needs a long period to recover, or family circumstances such as the inability of the mahram to stay with the scholarship student at the mission headquarters. And other circumstances that prevent the scholarship student from continuing in the mission to continue his studies and force him to return to the homeland and start his work at the university.
Article Twenty-Eight of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Employees stipulates that: "The University Council may terminate the scholarship based on the recommendation of the department and college councils, or the institute and the like, and the Scholarship and Training Committee in the following cases:
Inability to continue studying according to reports related to the progress of his studies. |
His request to end the mission and return to the Kingdom. |
If he violates the regulations or instructions or refuses to implement them. |
If he does not obtain the required qualification within the specified period. |
If it is proven that he has stopped studying without an acceptable excuse." |
The termination of the scholarship entails a decision against the scholarship student by the University Council, either to terminate his registration (dismissal) from the university, or to refer him to an administrative job according to the university's need, or to resume the study within a period not exceeding two years, according to the provisions of Article Thirty of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Employees, which stipulates: "In the event that the University Council approves the termination of the scholarship student's scholarship in accordance with the provisions of Article Twenty-Eight, the Council shall have the following:
Take a decision to terminate his registration within a period not exceeding one year from the date of termination of his scholarship. |
Or refer him to an administrative job if the university needs his services. |
Or keep his job and determine the period necessary for the resumption of his higher studies, provided that this period does not exceed two years. In the event that he violates it, the provisions of one of the two paragraphs (1) or 2 of this Article shall apply in respect thereof." |
The scholarship student is required to stay at the mission's headquarters until the issuance of the termination decision so as not to fold his registration or be referred to an administrative job, according to the provisions of Article Twenty-Nine of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Employees, which stipulates that: "The scholarship student at home or abroad who wishes to finish his scholarship before obtaining the required qualification may not leave his place of study before the approval of the University Council. In the event that the scholarship student returns before the approval of the University Council, the provisions of one of the two paragraphs (1 or 2) of Article 30 of these regulations shall be applied.
Submit a request to terminate a mission:
A request to terminate a scholarship is submitted in the event that the scholarship student does not obtain the academic degree for which he is scholarshipd, whether the reason is academic stumbling or not approving the request to extend the scholarship or his desire to start work and complete the writing of the thesis while on the job. This requires the presentation of the department and college councils, the scholarship and training committee, and the university council, based on Article Twenty-Eight of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Employees.
