20241028333The scientific trip is a field work carried out by the scholarship student once during the same academic stage to collect data and information related to his research and thesis.
Article XV of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Employees specifies the provisions related to the scientific trip of the scholarship abroad, as it states: "A scholarship abroad may undertake a scientific trip during the preparation of the thesis and once during the study stage to the Kingdom or others outside the mission headquarters in accordance with the following controls:

To recommend the supervisor of the student's study that the research needs the scientific trip. |

Endorsement of the Cultural Attaché. |
|
The approval of the department and college council, or the institute and the like, and the scholarship and training committee at the university from which the scholarship is granted. |
|
The duration of the scientific trip should not exceed a maximum of three months. |
|
If the scientific trip is to the Kingdom, the scholarship student must undertake his research under the supervision of his department and the department shall prepare a full report on the trip. |
|
If the scientific trip is outside the mission headquarters to other than the Kingdom, a report on the trip shall be submitted to the cultural attaché by the supervisor of the scholarship study, and the attaché shall provide the university to which the scholarship student belongs with a copy of it. |
Article 20 of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Employees also specified the provisions related to the scientific trip of the scholarship at home, as it stated: "The scholarship may undertake a scientific trip during the preparation of the thesis and once during the same academic stage outside the place of study, whether traveling inside or outside the Kingdom in accordance with the following controls:

Conditions for undertaking the scientific trip:

A recommendation from the supervisor of the scholarship study in need of research to the scientific trip. |

Endorsement of the Saudi cultural attaché in the country of scholarship. |

Recommendation of the Department Council to approve the scholarship student's scientific trip (a tripartite committee delegated by the Council). |

Recommendation of the College Council to approve the scholarship student's scientific trip (a tripartite committee delegated by the Council). |
|
Recommendation of the Standing Committee for Scholarship and Training to approve the scholarship student's scientific trip. |
