Scientific trips for the scholarship

Scientific Trip Regulations & Controls

A scientific trip is fieldwork carried out by the scholarship student once per academic stage to collect data and information specifically related to their research and thesis.

External Scholarship (Article XV):
Scholarships abroad may undertake one scientific trip (max 3 months) outside the mission headquarters under the following controls:
 
Supervisor’s recommendation confirming the research requires a scientific trip.
 
Endorsement from the Saudi Cultural Attaché.
 
Approval from the Department Council, College Council, and the Scholarship Committee.
 
If inside the Kingdom, research must be supervised by the home department with a full report.
Internal Scholarship (Article XX):
Scholarships within the Kingdom may undertake one scientific trip (max 3 months) outside the place of study per academic stage.

Conditions for the Scientific Trip

 
Formal recommendation from the academic supervisor regarding research necessity.
 
Endorsement by the Saudi Cultural Attaché (for external missions).
 
Recommendation from the Department and College Councils (delegated tripartite committees).
 
Approval by the Standing Committee for Scholarship and Training.

Required Documents

 
Official Letter: Approved by the host university's academic supervisor.
 
Action Plan: A detailed practical plan for the scientific trip objectives and activities.
