Scientific Event Forms

Practical events of various kinds are one of the tools that contribute mainly to knowledge enrichment and enhance scientific and research mobility within the University of Jeddah and raise the level of communication within the university as well as outside its walls with the local and international community. The Events and Exhibitions Unit is responsible for receiving requests for holding scientific events and exhibitions in all their forms, which include:

The entity shall choose the type and title of the event, determine its axes, objectives and expected date of its establishment, provided that it is within its competence and according to its capabilities, and that the title of the event reflects the nature of the programs and activities that will be presented during it.

Determining the estimated budget for holding the event and determining its sources, whether from inside or outside the university.
  •  
Forms and required papers:
 
Application form for a scientific meeting.
Fill out the security survey form for speakers from outside the Kingdom.
Fill out the e-mail security survey form for all speakers.
Attach a brief curriculum vitae for each speaker not exceeding two pages.
Attach an introductory brochure of the event (definition of the event, axes, date of its convening, location, and actual agenda, if any).

The organizer submits through the efficiency path system a letter of request held by the event attached to the above forms to the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research for endorsement and then to the President of the University to obtain final approval for events that do not have external participations.
  •  
Scientific events in which external parties participate are submitted to His Excellency the Minister of Education after taking the initial approval from the President of the University.
  •  
Upload shall be made not less than four months before the proposed date of the event for scientific events and exhibitions and one month for community events according to the designated form.
  •  
The organizer proposes the names of the members of the organizing committee and the names of other committees according to the university's regulations with a proposed table showing the dates of holding the committees after obtaining the final approval and submits them to the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, who in turn submits them after his endorsement to the university president for approval, provided that the Cultural Relations Unit and the Institutional Communication Department are a permanent member of it.
  •  
The Organizing Committee and other committees after their approval shall begin the periodic meeting to exercise their functions.
