Travel Ticket Procedures

Travel Ticket Procedures

Once the University Council issues its approval for the scholarship and the teaching assistant or lecturer submits the required documentation to the Scholarship Administration to finalize the Executive Scholarship Decision, travel tickets are granted to the recipient and their eligible family members. This process is completed via the "Etimad Platform" after receiving a copy of the Scholarship Decision.

Overseas Scholarship Recipients

Pursuant to Article 16 of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Employees: "An overseas scholarship recipient shall be granted economy-class air tickets as follows:"

1. Single or Married Recipients (Not Accompanied by Family):

  •  

A: A one-way ticket from the Kingdom to the study destination to join the mission.

  •  

B: A round-trip ticket from the study destination to the Kingdom after one academic year for annual leave.

  •  

C: A round-trip ticket from the study destination for scientific trips.

  •  

D: A one-time round-trip ticket within the host country for research or examinations, provided the distance exceeds 100 km.

  •  

E: A round-trip ticket from the study destination to the Kingdom in the event of the death of a parent, spouse, or child.

  •  

F: A one-way ticket from the study destination to the Kingdom upon graduation or mission termination.

2. Married Recipients Accompanied by Family:

The recipient, their spouse, minor sons (regardless of number), unmarried daughters, and dependent mother (if legally supported and accompanying the recipient) are entitled to the tickets mentioned in points "A, B, C, E, and F" above.


Domestic Scholarship Recipients

Travel tickets are issued for the recipient and their family members once a year if the destination city has an airport, in accordance with Article 23 of the Scholarship and Training Regulations. Tickets are provided as follows:

  •  

One-way economy-class tickets from the place of work to the place of study.

  •  

Round-trip economy-class tickets at the end of each academic year from the place of study to the place of work.

  •  

A round-trip economy-class ticket for scientific trips.

  •  

If air travel is unavailable for scientific trips, compensation equivalent to the cost of public transportation shall be provided.
