He Deanship of Graduate Studies and International Cooperation at the University of Jeddah was established in 1435 AH as part of the organizational structure of the University’s Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. The Deanship is dedicated to overseeing the quality and governance of graduate studies, developing policies and procedures, and advancing academic excellence in specialized programs that align with national priorities and global trends In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the Deanship offers a wide range of distinguished and diverse graduate programs designed to foster innovation, research excellence, and international academic collaboration.

Agency Tasks
  • The establishment and development of graduate programs in alignment with the Kingdom’s strategic vision, the goals of national transformation programs, and labor market needs
  • Developing mechanisms and policies governing graduate studies at the university to achieve quality and excellence, in line with national directions, global benchmarks, and the embracement of best practices, while establishing continuous evaluation mechanisms for their outcomes.
  • Supervising the systems of scholarship and managing scholarship students affairs domestically, internationally, and through joint supervision programs.
  • Organizing and developing regulations governing the attendance and participation of faculty members in scientific events, as well as work missions and academic awards.
  • Developing and organizing regulations for faculty attendance and participation in scientific events, work assignments, and academic awards
  • Building strategic partnerships with national and international organizations in the field of graduate studies
  • Expanding local and international academic accreditations for graduate programs.
  • Monitoring the procedures for organizing scientific events across all university sectors.

Al-Anoud Al-Nashri, a master’s student at the College of Science at the University of Jeddah, distinguished herself as a member of a research team that received the Silver Medal at the 2026 Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions for developing an innovative tool for oil spill remediation using a multifunctional nanocomposite. Her contribution to this university-supported innovation reflects the University’s commitment to fostering sustainable partnerships with industry.
